What is it?
Chem Sources Online is the latest product offered by Chemical
Sources International, Inc. Our new online search engine will make chemical
sourcing easier than ever before. Chem Sources is available in book format
as well as CDROM, so customers have the flexibility of a variety
of products to choose from.
You will be able to search the Chem Sources chemical database to find
any chemical product free of charge. This also acts as our built-in demo.
Once the product is found, set up an account (Minimum
$150.00 required) to obtain your password to get the supplier
information. In other words, if we don't have it, you don't pay for it.
For each supplier record viewed there will be a charge of
$4.95 deducted from your
pre-payed account. Each supplier record includes: Company name, Address,
Phone, Fax, Email (if applicable) and any sales offices. When your account balance nears
$0.00, you will have to fill out our form to add more funds to your account or call.
Example:
A chemical search for FORMALDEHYDE is performed and there are 10 suppliers
for this chemical found in the Chem Sources database. There is a charge of $39.50
to view all 10 supplier records. This charge will be deducted from your pre-paid account
balance. If only 1 supplier is needed, you may choose to purchase a partial list,
resulting in a $3.95 charge for one record only.
There are three main categories to search in.
These are the Chemical database, the Application database and the Supplier database.
There are three ways to search within the chemical database;
by chemical name, by CAS registry number or by formula. With these
three searches, we feel that any product in the database can be found quickly
and easily. You will be able to submit full or partial names. Search results can be further narrowed by geographical
region. The Applications database allows you to search for specific tradename products or to
search by application (category) heading. Suppliers can be searched by company name.
The database includes the products of more than 7,200 chemical firms
spanning 128 countries. The Chemical Section lists approximately 400,000 chemical compounds. Over
200,000 of these chemicals currently have CAS
registry numbers and over 60,000 have formulas. The Trade Name and
Classified Sections lists some 15,000 Chemical Trade Names. The Company
Directory gives all pertinent contact data necessary for making direct
inquiries to each chemical firm.
